Times tables:
Children will complete the multiplication tables check at the end of year 4, therefore it is extremely important that they practice all tables as often as they can. Throughout the year we will work as a team to build on our fluency across all times tables (1 - 12). Why not use this link to practice using TT rockstars?
English:
We will be reading and writing about some beautiful novels and picture based books, from the read to write unit. These books will engage us in class discussions and capture our thoughts and interests, whilst developing our vocabulary - including spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Reading:
Please read with your child at least 5 times a week and log it in their reading record, with a comment. The staff in team 4 will check reading records daily and ensure books are changed regularly. Please record any other readings your child may participate in e.g. magazines, facts books, newspapers etc.
PE
Please ensure children have their PE kits in school every day and they get taken home at the end of every half term to be washed. ALL kit and bags need to be labelled, including footwear. The children will need outdoor and indoor PE kits ensuring suitable and warm clothing for Winter months.
Outdoor Kit: Joggers/leggings, t-shirt, jacket and trainers (shorts for warm weather).
Indoor Kit: Shorts, t-shirt and pumps.
Team 4 would normally go swimming throughout the year, unfortunately due to the current situation this is not possible for the first half term.
