Literacy

We use a Read to Write scheme within our literacy lessons which enables us to use the process of immerse, analyse, plan and write to create imaginative and skillful pieces of extended writing. Our Read to Write text for this half term is Hermelin by Mini Grey. 

We follow an author spine to enable broad and exciting experiences of many diverse authors. We use these authors to inspire our writing of stories, poems, instructions, letters…and many more! Our author for this term is Julia Donaldson. 

Spellings are given out every week on a Friday, to be tested the following Friday.
