Welcome

I am delighted and incredibly proud to welcome you to J H Godwin Primary School. The original building was replaced in 2016 with purpose built accommodation, which provides a great learning environment for our children. We have a large outdoor area, with a forest school area and MUGA.

Our aim at J H Godwin, is to develop each child’s abilities and interests to the highest level of personal achievement. We work in close partnership with parents and carers to bring out the very best in each child. Our staff ensures that each child and their family are at the centre of everything we do. We are a school family at the heart of our community.

At JH Godwin Primary School, we pride ourselves in supporting and valuing the whole child. We recognise and appreciate achievements beyond the academic. Our school vision is to equip our pupils to be become well-rounded, confident and responsible global citizens. Our school rules of being ready, respectful and safe, enable us to work and play in a considerate and happy environment. We call our classes Teams, as we believe in collaboration and supporting each other to be the best we can be. To help us achieve this vision, we focus on developing two-character traits each half term. More information about this can be found in our ;For Parents’ section of this website..

We offer an exciting curriculum. Our curriculum has been designed to engage all our children and help them develop a love of learning.. To extend our children’s cultural capital, we take the children on lots of trips, using our minibuses.

The information on our website will give you an insight into life on our school and the range of exciting opportunities available to our children. If you would like to visit our school to see it in action, please contact the school office on 01244 259 666.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the J H Godwin team.

Kind Regards

Mrs Cartledge
