Schools need policies and procedures in place so that the staff, governors, parents and children involved in the school are able to work from the same set of guidelines.
There is a duty for all staff to follow and comply with all policies and procedures within the school to ensure that children are not put at risk. Any concerns or worries must be expressed to the Head Teacher and Designated Safeguard Lead. Mrs L Cartledge, via admin@jhgodwin.cheshire.sch.uk, or make an appointment by calling the school office on 01244 259 666. Our Family Liaison Worker, Mrs Lochlin, is also a Safeguarding Lead and may be able to assist.
Our policies encourages pupils to take ownership of their behaviour and acceptance and responsibility of their own actions. The school council is involved in all aspects of the school and have input with regards to the school rules and evaluating lessons with the relevant adults.
